Romance in Pink & Green: A Romantic Wedding Inspiration Shoot at Château du Portereau

This summer, I had the pleasure of taking part in a beautiful wedding inspiration shoot at Château du Portereau, surrounded by a talented team of wedding professionals.

Freshly renovated, Château du Portereau is a beautiful wedding venue near Nantes, offering an elegant and refined setting for celebrations in the Loire-Atlantique region. Set along the Sèvre Nantaise river, the château combines the charm of a historic estate with a fresh and contemporary atmosphere.

For this shoot, the creative direction revolved around the theme “Romance in Pink & Green” — a romantic and elegant vision of a wedding, brought to life through soft shades of pink and green and a collection of carefully chosen details.

A romantic wedding inspiration in shades of pink and green

The idea was to create a romantic and elegant wedding atmosphere without making it feel overly traditional or formal.

Different shades of pink were paired with lush greens, creating a soft, timeless colour palette that works beautifully in a château setting.

As the florist behind the project, I wanted the floral design to feel like a natural extension of the venue. Rather than filling every space with flowers, the arrangements were designed to create beautiful focal points while preserving a sense of movement, airiness and spontaneity.

Generous, organic floral arrangements brought the different parts of the celebration to life, from the ceremony to the reception and the beautifully decorated sweetheart table.

This is very much at the heart of my approach at Atelier Aimer: creating natural, organic wedding flowers inspired by the garden, with an emphasis on seasonality, texture and the beauty of flowers in their perfect imperfection.

Thoughtful details to tell the story

A wedding is made of so many little details, and this inspiration shoot was an opportunity to imagine the whole experience as one cohesive story.

For the ceremony, a violinist brought an especially romantic and intimate atmosphere, adding a beautiful musical touch to the setting.

At the reception, the sweetheart table took centre stage, generously decorated with flowers in shades of pink and green. The floral design framed the table while keeping the overall look elegant and effortless.

And when it came to dessert, the traditional wedding cake was given a playful twist with a beautiful tiramisù tower — an original and delicious alternative to the classic tiered cake.

From the stationery and tableware to the bridal styling, beauty details and floral design, every element was carefully chosen to contribute to the overall aesthetic.

A talented team of wedding professionals

This beautiful project was made possible by an amazing team of wedding professionals, each bringing their own expertise and creative vision.

I particularly loved being part of this collaboration and seeing how all these different talents came together to create a coherent and inspiring wedding editorial.

The result is a wedding inspiration that feels romantic, elegant and timeless, while remaining soft, natural and full of life.

A huge thank you to the whole team for bringing this beautiful vision to life ✨

And if you are dreaming of a romantic wedding at Château du Portereau, I hope this shoot inspires you to create a celebration that feels truly personal — shaped by your story, your venue and the season you choose to get married in.
