What if your wedding dinner became a living work of art? At Château du Val, this castle wedding editorial explores a theatrical yet timeless elegance, where flowers, silver candlesticks, tableware and generous layers of fabric come together to create a distinctive atmosphere.
Entitled Le Grand Festin (The Grand Feast), this editorial brings together a talented team of wedding professionals around a shared vision: celebrating the art of entertaining through refined, expressive and beautifully layered styling.

A Wedding Banquet with Timeless Elegance
Within the elegant rooms of Château du Val, crisp white tablecloths flow generously across the tables, punctuated by silver candlesticks, flickering candles and fruit arranged like a still-life painting.
Rustic bread, bunches of grapes, figs, pears and olives all play an essential part in the table styling. Here, the table is far more than a place to gather for dinner: it becomes the heart of the overall design, an invitation to share, connect and savour the moment.
The contrast between luminous white textiles, the soft gleam of silverware and the rich tones of burgundy and copper creates an atmosphere that feels both classically elegant and contemporary.

Sculptural and Organic Wedding Flowers
For this editorial, I imagined generous, opulent floral arrangements built around contrasts, depth and chiaroscuro.
Set in large, timeworn urns, the arrangements echo the château’s classical architecture and enhance the banquet’s theatrical aesthetic. Their sculptural shapes and rich textures bring movement and intensity to the setting, creating a striking dialogue between the flowers and their surroundings.
For the bridal bouquet, I took a more pared-back, minimalist approach, choosing airy varieties with a strong individual character. A reminder that a wedding’s floral design can be expressive and abundant in one setting, then delicate and understated in another.

How to Take Inspiration from This Castle Wedding Banquet
This wedding editorial offers plenty of ideas for couples dreaming of distinctive, timeless wedding décor.
- Embrace rich, deep colours. Burgundy, copper and botanical green bring depth and character to a palette built around ivory and white.
- Make a statement with your wedding flowers. A sculptural arrangement can become the focal point of a reception table or a key area of your venue.
- Mix textures and materials. Draped fabrics, silverware, candlelight and flowers create a richly layered atmosphere without the need for excessive decoration.
- Make food part of the styling. Fruit, rustic bread and shared dishes can become beautiful decorative elements in their own right, adding warmth and a sense of abundance to the table.
The key is to create a thoughtful connection between the venue, the flowers and the objects that surround them. When every element feels part of the same story, the result is an atmosphere that is both cohesive and deeply personal.
