Wedding inspiration⎜small party folk and autumnal wedding

I am happy to share with you the images of this beautiful folk and autumn inspired editorial shooting, featured today on La Mariée aux Pieds Nus.

This project was imagined by the talented Fanny from Fanny Calligraphie (she’s also the one who designed my beloved logo).

Here are her words:

“I live in Nantes for 6 years, and I know Melanie & Christophe and all the other friends involved in this shooting since then. Melanie and Christophe, the “bride and groom” have been together for 8 years. We all bounded really closely throughout the years, and created a kind of big family.

Melanie and Christophe live in a colocation, they share a large house next to Erdre river. I’ve been thinking of this editorial shoot for a while now. This big happy house, this huge, wild and wacky garden, the river, the chicks, the rabbits… We shared so many great memories in that place. It’s not perfect but it’s real, raw, eccentric, and that’s what I liked about it. It is what I wanted to convey to future brides and grooms: stay true. Don’t be afraid to get off the beaten track if this is what you really are. I really wanted to create an ambiance, because decoration is here to serve the ambiance, both are intricately linked. It was also really important for me to have music for the ambiance.

For the team, I contacted vendors I love and that naturally worked. We created a screen print bar in the garden for guests to print the wedding logo on tote bags. Simon Roché from Première Presse, came with all his equipement to host it. Marie from Atelier Aimer created all the floral decoration in autumn shades of terracotta and mustard. She imagined a wild and organic ceremony decor on the tree, and a poetic and loose centerpiece for the table. We can also see the creations of the ceramist Solenn Larnicol, especially her cups for the tea bar and eggcups on the table ; the white plates designed by Margot Coville or the funny terracotta animals and bowls by Sylvain Jarry from Ugbu.

Mélanie from Féelicité brought her wedding design experience to create the overall ambiance of this small party folk wedding: small vials of tea as guest favors, tea-flower bath for the bride, tea bar for the guests… The gipsy jazz band Opus Swing Trio, played before and during the ceremony. Celine from Les Mignonneries created plexiglas pannels with dried flowers. The food was prepared by Saveurs Gourmandes with seasonal products. As for clothes, L’Apiéceur created the mustard colored wedding suit, and Isabelle Payet created the wedding dress. The photographer Dorothée Buteau and the videast Marions-Nous Dans les Bois captured the images of this beautiful day. And I took care of all the handwritten stationery details.»
